The dataset comprises 213 stories of present interactions with urban treescapes and 86 stories of future visions, collected from citizen panel workshops in York, Milton Keynes, and Cardiff during 2023-2024. Each story is coded for Life Frames, social and cultural values, tree characteristics, and location where applicable. The collection includes data sheets, topic guides, a code book, and participant materials. Its purpose is to document relational values associated with urban treescapes to support evidence-based decision-making and planning for future urban forestry.
