Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children

The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) is a longitudinal cohort study following over 1,000 families from pregnancy until their children are at least 21 years old, and now extending to a third generation. The study has collected a vast amount of biological samples and phenotypic, environmental, genetic, and linkage data from multiple cohort groups over the past 30 years. Data includes questionnaires, clinical measures, biological resources, and information on the natural and built environment, as well as data derived from biological samples linked to routine health records. Data is available from original participants, their children (G1), and now the children of those participants (G2), capturing a unique three-generation perspective on health and lives.
