Global subnational age and sex structured estimates for 2020

WorldPop is an open-access repository of peer-reviewed, high-resolution geospatial population and demographic data designed to map population distributions and dynamics, especially in low- and middle-income countries. It contains tens of thousands of datasets, including population counts, population density, births, pregnancies, age- and sex-structured estimates, development indicators, dependency ratios, migration, administrative areas, covariates, urban change, and settlement growth. Built using transparent methods and integrating sources such as census, microdata, and survey data within spatiotemporal modelling frameworks, the resource supports research, public health, development planning, spatial analysis, interactive mapping, and software-based access through web portals and an API.
