Citi Bike Trip Histories

The Citi Bike System Data dataset provides public bike-share information for New York City to support analysis, visualization, application development, research, and public understanding of system usage. Its downloadable trip history files contain ride-level records with ride ID, bike type, start and end times, station names and IDs, station coordinates, and rider category as member or casual. Earlier files include trip duration, bike ID, user type, gender, and year of birth. The data is cleaned to exclude staff servicing trips, test-station trips, and rides under 60 seconds, enabling users to study travel patterns, popular stations, ride timing, distances, and weekday usage trends.
