It operates under the ProteomeXchange Consortium, assigning PXD identifiers to submitted datasets, which become public upon publication. The platform accommodates both public and private submissions through a web-based system, with registered users contributing raw data, metadata, protein identifications, and more. Currently, iProX hosts 7169 projects and 10734 subprojects, encompassing over 705,000 data files.
