SDSS DR7 Galaxy Groups

This dataset contains group catalogues constructed from various astronomical surveys, including 2dFGRS, SDSS DR7, and others. Using a halo-based group finder optimized for identifying galaxies within the same dark matter halo, researchers generated thesecatalogues to study the Halo-Occupation-Distribution and galaxy clustering. The dataset includes detailed information on galaxies, their groups, and associated properties across different redshift ranges. It allows for analyzing the large-scale structure of the universe, galaxy evolution, and the distribution of dark matter haloes. These catalogues are derived from mock galaxy surveys and real observations, providing valuable data for understanding galaxy groupings and their relation to dark matter structures.
